LASER EMP TECHNOLOGY
LASER POWERED EMP PULSE FOR USE AS DIRECTED ENERGY WEAPON
In addition to developing our Phygital Passport technology for luxury markets, Decentryk is also targeting this technology at military and defense markets for weapons security, component supply-chain extension and post-installation provenance applications. However, Decentryk is also developing an exciting new Laser Powered EMP technology for anti-drone / air counter-measure applications. While this technology might at first seem unrelated to our Phygital Passport technology, it uses a scaled up version of the same ultra-fast solid-state laser technology and will also integrate AI technology for adaptive target tracking. In other words Phygital Passports are a Laser-Blockchain-AI technology while Laser EMP is a higher power Laser-AI Technology. We plan to penetrate military markets with our Phygital Passports first, and then using the assistance of US government grants we will develop the Laser EMP technology as our infrastrcuture and capabilities grow. Hence our product-market fit and market-penetration rollout strategy will be in the order of (1) Phygital IDs for luxury markets, (2) Phygital IDs for military markets, and (3) Laser EMP for military markets.

LASER EMP TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW
Traditional directed energy weapons technologies such as high power lasers directly focus tens of kW of light power onto a target to heat it up and ultimately damage or destroy it. In contrast, Laser EMP weapons focus high energy ultrafast pulses into a small volume of air near the target creating a phenomenon called "Laser Breakdown in Air". Laser Breakdown occurs when the intensity and peak power of the laser pulse is concentrated and fast enough enough to strip the electrons off all the air molecules hence ionizing the small volume into a plasma ball less than 1mm wide. This tiny plasma ball gets very quickly heated up to millions of degrees celsius - even hotter than the center of the sun. Due to blackbody radiation this ultra-fast ultra-hot plasma ball emits a very intense electromagnatic (EMP) pulse which can destroy electronics within a 5-10 meter range of the laser breakdown location. Hence the laser targeting doesnt have to hit the target - it just needs to get near enough to damage it or knock it out of the skies.
While Laser EMP technology might not have the 10-20km ranges of laser heating weapons it can still be effectively deployed out to a range of 2-3km. Moreover, the average electrical power required to power a Laser EMP weapon is only 500W to 1kW - small enough for the battery to be carried in a back-pack for a hand-held weapon built for under $500,000 each (similar to a flame thrower arrangement). Compare this elegant EMP technology to a high power laser heating weapon which typically requires 30kW to 50kW of electrical battery power necessitating mounting on a large truck, tank or ATV at a unit cost over $50 Million per unit. The advantages of a small, cheap, portable, hand-held Laser EMP weapon option for individual soldiers to negate enemy drones or missiles are obvious. Moreover, as it only affects electrical equipment within a 10-20 meter range and does not physical damage or destroy the targe, Laser EMP Weapons can be classified as "non-lethal" defensive weapons.

Decentryk's Laser EMP technology is a blue sky project that is still in stealth mode. Hence further information is not yet available for public comsumption. However if you are interested in investing in Decentryk and our defence technology, and you don't mind signing an Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), then please contact Decentryk CEO Dr Adam Weigold directly at adam@decentryk.com.
