Stuart O'Grady OAM appointed as Brand Ambassador for the Sporting Goods Industry.
July 7, 2023 (Adelaide, Australia). Decentryk is excited to announce Stuart (Stuey) O’Grady OAM as brand ambassador for the global sports equipment industry.
Stuey is currently the Race Director for the SANTOS Tour Down Under. As a retired Australian professional road and track cyclist he has spent most of his life on a bike. Between 1995 and 2013 he had ridden in the Tour De France 17 times, has won 4 Olympic medals and a Rock for a trophy from his Paris-Roubaix win, the first Australian to win the Queen of the North race, one of the world cycling’s five monuments.
Stuey is a renowned and much-loved character in the world cycling industry and has participated in various disciplines including both track cycling and road racing. He won a gold medal in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games as part of the Australian Madison men's team and had a very successful track cycling career winning numerous medals at the World Championships.
Stuey has had a long and illustrious career in professional road cycling, competing in many prestigious races around the world and became known for his versatility and ability to perform well in both one-day races and stage races. He participated in the Tour de France 17 times and achieved several notable accomplishments, including stage wins and wearing the yellow jersey.
